Starting today, Stichting Incident Management Nederland is publishing a map showing the most recent incidents on the trunk road system. The map shows all accidents and vehicle recoveries reported to the Stichting Incident Management Nederland's National Central Reporting Point (LCM). On average, this relates to some two hundred incidents every day.

The map is updated every minute, and marks the most recent incident with a red triangle. The most recent previous incidents are marked with orange and yellow icons. It is also possible to view incidents that occurred earlier in the day. To make this possible, the option 'today's incidents' must be activated in the top right-hand corner of the map. Each icon is marked with the time at which the incident was reported to the LCM, and the reported hectometre marker.

The publication of incidents on the map takes place almost in real time, with a delay of just a few minutes. A list of the most recent incident reports has been available for a number of years under the heading Latest reports on the homepage of Stichting Incident Management Nederland. Those reports are now also projected onto a map. The map can be accessed by clicking on the button Latest reports on the homepage.
